Hi,

My 9 year old Burmese girl started limping 11 days ago and is holding her front paw up. I took her to the vet after 4 days. He examined her, couldn't see anything in her paw but said he thought he detected some swelling and gave her an injection with a prescription for 6 days of Metacam. He thought it was probably a muscle strain and told me that if there was no change to bring her back for X-rays as the next step. Well she's finished the course of Metacam and is still limping. I understood that X-rays only detect bones and I'm sure she hasn't got a broken bone so I'm not sure of the point of X-rays. Plus the fact that it is very expensive - the first consultation cost nearly £100. Does anybody have any ideas on this?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
